While strolling through the Wilson Park Farmers Market today, I came across one of my favorite things. No, not okra, free books! The Torrance Public Library set up a booth in the center of the Farmers Market to promote their Summer Reading Programs. The Summer Reading Program starts on June 21. The Summer Reading Rrogram is not only for kids. There is even a program for adults. Read books and win prizes. More on the Summer Reading Program coming soon.
The Friends of the Torrance Library were there too.
The Friends of the Torrance Library had set up a table where they were giving away free books for kids and free cookbooks.
I picked up an easy reading kids book to send to my friend who teaches at the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona.
